About Me

About Me

I am a freshman college student at New Mexico State University. I am currently attending the school in order to receive my bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering. I decided to pursue mechanical engineering because I have always been interested in cars. More specifically, engines. I am greatly intrigued by the mechanical operations of a gas powered engine. Naturally, Mechanical engineering became the obvious choice for me to further pursue in school. However, I am also interested in non-engineering related subjects. I have always been very interested in snowboarding. Snowboarding directly translates into my love of automobiles though. The fluid turns of someone riding through the powder at great speeds fascinates me just as those things do in automobiles. I have been told for years that as a child I used to take everything apart in order to decipher the inner workings of those objects. That same spirit still carries on with me today. It does not have to be cars or snowboards; anything that can be taken apart interests me. I want to know how everything works and in doing so I have learned a great deal about how to disassemble and reassemble most any object one might ask me to.

Dear Human Resources of Fishery and Wildlife services,
I am contacting you in order to inquire about the job listing on New Mexico State University SES website as a field and lab research assistant. I intend to seek employment for the entirety of the job period you have listed. Employment in a different department than that which I am studying greatly interests me. It would allow me to broaden my studies and knowledge base for after I graduate.
While I have no experience in the FWCE department; I do however have experience in both chemistry and physics labs. I also have a great love of the outdoors and have no problem working in any situation outdoors, no matter how messy. I have a good knowledge of many different plant species and other natural objects that may be encountered on the job. A position that involves a mixture of work places not just indoors greatly interests me and would allow me to work to the best of my ability. I also know a sizeable amount about computers and data entry in a number of programs including, but not limited to: word, PowerPoint and excel. During high school I held two jobs, both of which taught me the importance of time management and responsibility. At those jobs I also learned to be a team player and work in a fashion that allows work to get done in the quickest, most efficient manner.
I am really looking forward to discussing my resume and qualifications with you. I can be reached any time after two on my cell phone at, 720-234-5709. A position in your department of Fishery and Wildlife services would be very beneficial to me at this time during school.

Sincerely,
                Robert Feagans
